Delegates from Total Zambia; Zambulk Tankers; Zimbulk Tankers; Simera Technologies; Afrit Trailer inspect a 39 000-litre prototype ReturnHauler unit built by Afrit Tanker Solutions, Elises River, Monday 15.05.17

This ReturnHauler prototype unit is co-owned by Total Zambia and Zambulk Tankers.

The unit was delivered to Zambulk Tankers 29.05.17 and is scheduled to load diesel at Total’s Natref Refinery in Sasolburg.

The diesel loads are destined for mines on the Zambian Copperbelt – some 2 300 km from the Sasolburg Refinery.

Having off loaded diesel, the unit is scheduled to load copper cathode under the tank, and return to South Africa.

The unit is designed to be transporting either full diesel loads, or full copper loads, all the time.
